About us

The Dental Practice was established over 30 years ago as a general dental practice.

James Arthurell joined the practice Dec 2017 and Fiona Wellington joined us in early July 2018 and are the owners of The Dental Practice.

Debbie Davis is our well established, popular full-time hygienist.

This summer we are also joined by Aliyah who is taking care of Fiona Wellingtons patients while she starts her maternity leave.

We are also taking on Justin Scrivens as a permanent associate later this summer. He has been a dentist for 20 years and has an interest in orthodontics and implant surgery.

James Arthurell BDS originally from London and graduated from Birmingham University Dental School in 2003. He is well experienced in general practice dentistry and has worked in the Midlands since qualifying.

Debbie Davis EDH qualified as a Dental Hygienist from University of Wales, Cardiff in 1981. She has worked in several practices around the Midlands including over 15 years working in Leamington Spa. She joined The Dental Practice in 1989 and she has remained an integral member of our team.

Fiona Wellington BDS qualified from The University of Sheffield Dental School. After completing her vocational training in Nottingham she returned to Bromsgrove and has worked in General Dental Practice in the West Midlands since. She has experience, expertise and enthusiasm and recently completed a course in Aesthetic Dentistry bringing the benefits of modern dentistry out of the academic realm and into the day to day with general dental practice. She lives in Bromsgrove with Christopher her partner and Bruno their Labrador.

Justin Scrivens Associate Dentist BDS Birmingham 2003 GDC No 82028

Justin qualified from Birmingham University in 2003, with James. He has since worked, often alongside James, in General Practice throughout the midlands.

He enjoys all aspects of Dentistry with particular training and experience in Orthodontics(braces), Cosmetic dentistry, Implants and Surgery.

Justin has undertaken a variety of post graduate training including a Certificate in Implant surgery. He is a verified clear aligner provider including Invisalign Certification. He likes to keep up to date with the latest dental innovations and techniques in modern practical dentistry.

He lives in Birmingham with his wife, two sons and their Sprocker Spaniel.

In his limited spare time, he enjoys playing the guitar, cycling and running. He has completed the London Marathon, Birmingham half marathon, the “Tough Mudder” and a recent Triathlon.
